Use countdown timers and the Going Live banner to hype product launches.

What is a product drop?

A product drop is a limited-time or limited-quantity release of a product. Drops create urgency and excitement among your audience, leading to faster sellouts and more engagement. Think of it like a flash sale or an exclusive launch.

Setting up the Going Live banner

The Going Live banner appears at the top of your storefront with a countdown timer. It tells visitors when your next drop, stream, or event is happening.

  1. 1Go to Dashboard then Store Settings then Going Live.
  2. 2Toggle the Going Live banner on.
  3. 3Set the date and time for your event.
  4. 4Add a title like Next Drop: Limited Edition Tees.
  5. 5Save your changes. The banner appears immediately on your store.

Tip: Promote your upcoming drop on social media and direct followers to your Sellr store so they can see the countdown and set a reminder.

Notify Me button

When the Going Live banner is active, visitors can click a Notify Me button to receive an email when the event starts or the product goes live. This builds a warm list of interested buyers before you even launch.

Best practices for drops

Announce the drop 2-3 days in advance on social media. Use the countdown timer to build anticipation. Keep quantities limited to create scarcity. After the drop, share sold-out screenshots to build social proof for future releases.
